<description> As President of Hyperfine Software, Rob Bearman offers over 20 years of professional software development experience to clients requiring his expertise, insight and commitment to fail-safe quality.
Like many, Rob entered the software field as consequence of using computers in his chosen field. As a UC Berkeley Astronomy graduate, Rob's knack for building software led to custom projects for Lawrence Labs and the Supernova Search group.
Rob joined IBM to begin his commercial software career, and rose the engineering ranks at Software Publishing before starting his eight-year career at Microsoft. Rob has built software used today in hundreds of millions of PCs worldwide.
After joining with Microsoft CTO Nathan Myhrvold, leaving to form his first post-Microsoft start-up, architect Rob led a team of ten to build distributed application tools, and developed his current passion for networked architectures. Rob is highly skilled in developing fast, scalable and reliable data-backed web services using Microsoft SQL Server, ASP.NET, XHTML/CSS and native code.
Rob has considerable development management experience, leading individuals and teams, and driving core architectures for client applications and business-critical services.</description>
